SIMBIONIX PELVIC MENTOR:

The Simbionix PELVIC Mentor is intended to allow Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, Medical Students and Nurses to obtain detailed knowledge of the Pelvic Anatomy and to acquire the comprehensive skills required to perform Pelvic Exams.

The Simbionix PELVIC Mentor is a strong didactic tool, providing trainees with immediate feedback on anatomical recognition and the opportunity to practice performing a pelvic exam accurately.  The unique combination of the model’s anatomical structure, finger sensation and virtual environment provide the most effective training tool to date, aimed at developing the physicians’ confidence during pelvic examination and pelvic procedure.

The Simbionix PELVIC Mentor provides objective hands-on performance assessment of technical and hands-on clinical skills necessary to perform female pelvic floor exams..  

PELVIC MENTOR MODULES:

ANATOMICAL RECOGNITION MODULE:

The innovative training module designed to obtain detailed knowledge of pelvic anatomy, reduces the learning curve and improves outcomes of pelvic procedures. A unique sensor-based system is synchronized with the physical mannequin and a 3D virtual anatomical model which allows psychomotor learning and physical sensation of the anatomy.

The module includes 3 special features assisting in anatomical recognition:

1. Various interchangeable anatomies representing normal and pathological pelvic anatomy to learn different anatomical structures.

2. Software customisation that allows the course director to choose the relevant anatomies and content to be included in the training session.

3. Performance reports provided at the end of each training session that allow the learner and the trainer to review practice results

PELVIC EXAM MODULE:

The Pelvic Exam module is delivered with a set of several interchangeable anatomies with each representing a different exam type. These enable the trainee to virtually encounter and learn various pelvic conditions before actually performing the exam on a live patient.

Trainees gain the ability to recognize normal and abnormal gynaecological findings and practice using the proper techniques to perform pelvic exams.

The first version includes 6 different exams, each exam with its own anatomies:

1. Normal uterus

2. Early pregnancy

3. Ectopic pregnancy

4. Ovarian cyst

5. Large fibroid

6. Retroverted uterus

MENTORLEARN:

MentorLearn is a simulation management system that provides the optimal solution for managing the training and education needs for the Simbionix line of simulators.

The system facilitates the performance of administrative tasks associated with running a training course or workshop. The system includes a library of ready-to-use simulator based curricula and a platform to design new  training curricula.
