ROBOTIX MENTOR TASKS AND SKILLS MODULES:
21 Exercises
The tasks and skills modules are designed to provide opportunity for surgeons of all levels of expertise who are interested in performing robotic surgery, the opportunity to efficiently train on the required robotic skills.
The tasks and skills modules feature:
- Allows physical movement in an interactive, dynamic and clinically relevant environment.
- Allows for unlimited, repetitive practice - something impossible with patients and impractical with either cadavers or porcine models.
- Provides the opportunity to master a critical skill in a risk-free environment.
- Facilitates the acquisition and refinement of both cognitive and psychomotor skills by replicating actual techniques and sensory inputs.
SUTURING MODULE:
The innovative simulation educational package includes knot-tying tutorials for wristed and single site surgery. The tasks are highly realistic and are applicable to performing complex procedural steps such as following challenging lines and angles. The module includes vertical, horizontal and diagonal defects, followed by knot tying, continuous and interrupted suture exercises. Optional interactive guidance is provided for independent learning and skills mastery.
Multi-port suturing skills: 5 exercises

STAPLER MODULE:
A unique module with 2 exercises, to familiarize with specialized robotic instrumentation: Stapler Tube Transect and Stapler Ring Run.
FUNDAMENTALS OF ROBOTIC SURGERY (FRS) MODULE:
6 Fundamental Tasks. The module is based on the FRS skills curriculum developed by multiple surgical societies and organizations who agreed upon the critical skills, tasks, and errors that needed to be included in a comprehensive basic curriculum. The module replicates a physical dome, with the advantages of a virtual reality representation: Standardized cases, enjoyable independent training, reduced set-up overhead and cost of materials, objective performance reports. Exercises include: Tower transfer; Knot tying; Railroad track; 4th arm cutting; Clover leaf dissection and Vessel energy dissection.

Adoption of robotic surgery has been rapid, with growing numbers and types of robotic procedures, and developing guidelines for robotic skills curricula. Training within a curriculum for robotic surgery can open the door for surgical trainees and fellows as well as certified practicing surgeons to perform complex robotic procedures, making the patient the ultimate benefactor.

GYNAECOLOGY SURGERY
VAGINAL CUFF CLOSURE MODULE:
Suturing in a procedural environment. The module allows to train on the skills of vaginal cuff closure during robotic hysterectomy. The unique physical simulation technology enables simulating suturing, providing a new training paradigm for this complex and rate limiting surgical skill. The simulation allows surgeons to develop the necessary skills so that they may then be able to select the surgical route most suitable and advantageous for the patient. The existing suturing training solution may be integrated by robotic training programs in training courses and possible future accreditation & maintenance of certification.
GYNAECOLOGY SURGERY
HYSTERECTOMY PROCEDURE MODULE: SIMBIONIX EXCLUSIVE!
Hysterectomy complete procedure module. This unique module enables to practice a complete Robotic Hysterectomy procedure: Uterine manipulation; Superior pedicle division; Bladder mobilization; Exposure and division of the uterine artery and Colpotomy. The advanced and comprehensive simulation curriculum provides an opportunity for practicing a safe robotic hysterectomy procedure and includes educational aids such as videos of the real procedure, procedural instructions and performance reports.
